Here at Butterworth Laboratories we specialise in a range of analytical chemistry testing services.

Mrs Doris Butterworth started the company in 1974 after the discontinuation of the Microanalytical Programme at the National Physical Laboratory, focusing Elemental Microanalytical testing.

Butterworth Laboratories expanded its range of instrumental techniques over the years to include Ion & Gas Chromatography & Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy. After the privatisation of the Water companies & recession in the Construction Industry, the Company began focusing on the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Over the last 4 decades we have grown in staff, laboratory & associated office facilities.

We are committed to remaining fully independent whilst maintaining &expanding the range of testing the Company can undertake.
